Liz, a British born francophile who landed on American soil in 1999,  following 12 glorious food-filled and wine-soaked years living in France, founded Aubergines, etc. in 2006. Previously, she worked for several years as a personal chef in and around Princeton, and taught French and Italian cuisine at the YWCA, the Princeton Adult School, and in private homes.

Liz loves to share her extensive knowledge of European cuisine (it is a well-known fact that British cooks love to steal ideas from their neighbors, and any country they may have colonized once upon a time), and of course specializes in French cuisine.   Liz's teaching philosophy is simple - no technique is learned without it being the basis of a delicious recipe.  Kids may chop and mince, but the result is a velvety ratatouille or fragrant herb-filled tabouleh.  And it is amazing how exciting it is for a 12 year old boy to be able to use a mandolin under supervision! 

Liz also presented a cooking show called Simply Scrumptious, which aired on Princeton's TV30, from 2004 to 2009.  Filmed in Liz's kitchen, the show's most recent format focused on demonstrating quick and healthy meal options, kids' lunchbox ideas, and some simply scrumptious recipes that ranged from marinated mahi-mahi, to Christmas hors d'oeuvres, to a Caribbean cocktail or a spaghetti a la carbonara. 
Her new show, The European Palate, is currently being filmed and will be on your TV screens and the internet soon.  Look forward to some memorable recipes from someone whose passion for straightforward, delicious European food is worth experiencing!
